The Care Talent Collective is an approved provider for Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on learning disability and autism and is endorsed by NHS Surrey Heartlands.
Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training was set up to support staff in health and social care to have a better understanding of how to provide the best possible support and treatment for people with a learning disability and autistic people. It was set up following the tragic death of Oliver McGowan, an autistic person with a learning disability, whose death in hospital might have been prevented if the right training was in place.
From May 2024 onwards we will be rolling out a range of Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training as well as Train the Trainer courses for facilitator trainers and experts with lived experience.
